The first guide of good wines from Moldova “Fine Wine Guide 2018” is available in English from Monday, December 10, 2018, after being launched in Romanian a month ago. The translation and the editing of the guide in English were possible with the support of the National Vine and Wine Office and the Moldova Competitiveness Project, financed by USAID and the Government of Sweden.
The editing was made with the participation of the world-renowned London-based web Winerist.
The English edition of the guide has been issued in 3 000 copies and will be distributed for free in hotels and restaurants, on the board of Air Moldova flights, at the Moldovan diplomatic missions abroad, at the Tourist Information Center, tourism agencies, etc.
Also, the guide both in Romanian and English will be presented at the current Wine Vernissage on December 14th, 2018 at the Republic Palace. Also, the first guide of good wines will be displayed at specialised exhibitions abroad at the Wine of Moldova stand.
“Fine Wine Guide 2018” was edited this year by Andrei Cibotaru, the author of the FineWine.md blog and Victor Bunescu, founder of Vincuvin.shop. The guide is a selection of 50 Moldovan wines sorted in three price categories: under 125 lei, between 125 and 225 lei and over 225 lei.
Fine Wine Guide is a non-hierarchical wine selection. Over 20 winemakers are represented in this selection with dry wines, sparkling wines, whites, roses, reds, etc. The general partner of the project is the chain store Fourchette Gourmet.
