We have launched „Fine Wine Guide 2019 – 50 fine wines from Moldova”

The second edition of the guide for excellent wines from the Republic of Moldova, „Fine Wine Guide 2019 – 50 fine wines from Moldova”, was presented on Tuesday at the Tourist Information Center of the country. Andrei Cibotaru, author of the wine blog www.finewine.md, edited the magazine.

The guide was published, for the first time, in a bilingual edition: Romanian and English. It is intended for wine lovers in the Republic of Moldova, but also those from abroad. The publication contains descriptions of 50 top wines from the Republic of Moldova, arranged in a non-hierarchical selection. There are almost 25 wineries represented in the guide, with dry, sparkling, ice wine, white, rose and red wines.

Also, the Fine Wine Guide contains information on the main grape varieties in Moldova, wine-growing areas, as well as information on wine events and wine tourism in Moldova. The guide also presents a new section – „Wine Ambassadors” – a story about five successful people promoting Moldovan wine across the country, in Romania, France, Portugal or Japan.

The Fine Wine Guide 2019 will be presented to the general public, on October 5-6, 2019, on the National Wine Day. Also, the top will be available shortly and in an electronic version, with a dedicated site in two languages ​​(Romanian / English), accessible from any corner of the world.

The guide was published in an edition of 4,000 copies, to be distributed in HORECA and at events dedicated to wine. Also, the publication will be presented at the most important wine fairs abroad, at wine competitions and activities promoting the Wine of Moldova.

„The Fine Wine Guide intends to be a guide in the rich world of Moldovan Wine. I recommend to all amateurs to go through this guide, theoretically and practically, to discover good wines in a much larger number,” said Andrei Cibotaru, the author of the publication.

The Fine Wine Guide was printed with the support of the National Office of Vine and Wine and the Competitiveness Project in Moldova, funded by USAID and the Government of Sweden. The general partner of the project, for the second year, is the Fourchette Gourmet network.
